Turner's Story:
When we chose our tagline "let us tell your story" I guess I always thought the stories would be happy, but sometimes even the most precious stories have sad endings. We'd love to take a minute and tell you about our sweet Turner Lee. We started telling Turner's story in 2007 when he joined our BABYplan here at ARP. Shortly after his 2nd Session, Turner was diagnosised with Neuroblastoma. Turner was only 2 weeks older than Ever (our youngest child,) and we knew we wanted to do something for this family. All of the ARPcrew joined in true ARPstyle and held a fundraiser in Jan 2008 called GIGGLES + GRINS for Turner Lee. Thanks to everyone that attended we raised over $7000 that day for the Lee family!!!
Here are a few links from the event:

Well, this week the ARPcrew pulled together again for a very special event. We celebrated Turner's life Tuesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Once again we knew that what we had to offer the Lee family would help them remember the sweet memory of Turner and just how spunky he was. There were several things we created to help this sad event show a little of Turner's personality.
As a photographer I realize that what we capture for our family of clients is so important, and we were honored to make his day special.
If you ever have a family in need (or if you are a photographer with a client in need) there are some pieces that you can provide for the family to leave them with precious memories.
- Guest book incorporating images from sessions
- Bookmarks with scripture as a take-a-way item
- Notecards for friends and family to leave messages : placed in a vase once written on)
(this is really nice and enjoyable for the family later since visitation is usually such a blur)
- Multiple images to place around the room on table tops and easels.
- A slideshow incorporating images from sessions and personal images
All of this was provided by WINTERSLIGHT : the charitable division of Allison Rodgers Photography - something we recently started in memory of my father. Throughout the year ARP will hold fundraisers and take donations for a fund that provides images for families in need.
Sarah and Keith have been amazing through this with Turner, and I can't imagine how heavy their hearts are right now. We are so thankful that they allowed us to do this for them, and we hope they realize what a HUGE impact Turner made on all of us here at ARP.
Even though this is such an earthly loss, it truly is a heavenly gain.
Here is Turner's caringbridge site if you would like to leave a message for Sarah and Keith.
