April 2008

Thursday, April 17, 2008

Well, as most of you know, we're doing a Webinar for PPA on Monday called Financial Success Stories.
It's mainly about financial stuff and it should be pretty awesome! We'll be on the panel with three other studios and I feel like it should be a very informative discussion. Jeff and I are really looking forward to it and we're honored to be a part of it!

BUT today we needed some quick head shots... And you guys KNOW we can't be serious for 5 seconds to get real head shots - so here's our version... Thank's Molly for putting up with us (me mainly - I can't sit still long enough for this kind of thing) see below...

If you are a Photographer and would like to sign up - here's more info and the link.

April 21 2007 Financial Success Stories
with Ryan and Carrie Phillips; Jeff and Carolle Dachowski; Todd and Jaime Reichman; and Jeff and Allison Rodgers; moderated by Scott Kurkian 12:00pm-1:30pm EST

Hear first-hand how these successful photographers turned their businesses into incredible profit centers in 2007. From doubling sales to tripling net profits and reclaiming lost personal lives, these studios each have tremendous success stories to share. Listen for ideas and strategies on how to take your business to the next level of financial success!

And now for the headshots :)

Just wanted to say a quick THANK YOU to all of the new people checking out our BLOG.
We love watching the world map and checking out where you guys are coming from. It makes me feel like I'm on that show I used to watch as a child "Romper Room" (if you remember this please comment!) Anyway, the lady on the show had a mirror and she would say " I see you Allison in Olive Branch MS."

Now I get to be HER!
So, I see you in Brisbane, Queensland : AUSTRALIA, and I see you in Brooklyn, New York, and I see you in Lyon, Rhone-Alpes : FRANCE
Thank you for visiting and PLEASE KEEP COMING BACK!

My question is if that if show was from the 7o's - how did she see everybody without a BLOG sitemeter to check...

PS: Here are a few images of our sweet Ever. She has not been feeling well the past few days and I'm glad she is on the mend. I knew she was back to her feisty self when had her first argument (more grunting than speaking) with Fable about letting her join her on the trampoline... These shots are from Rosemary Beach last year. This year I'm sure it will be very different. There won't be a lot of sitting going on... chasing is more likely.

More later!!

A :)

Some cool news. We are the featured blog of the day for Typepad. I have been very happy with our blog from these guys. There is a lot of flexibility in the design. Last week you may have noticed that we changed the format for the blog. I had a web designer make some improvements for us and I am very happy with his work. There are a lot of changes. The biggest change is when you leave a comment, you can now see it directly beneath the post you're commenting on.

Chad Everett of Everitz Consulting made the changes quickly and was very easy to communicate with. I would recommend him if you are wanting some more advanced changes to your blog.

People always assume that I must shoot 100's of images of my girls all of the time because I'm a photographer... Honestly, I don't shoot enough! And believe it or not, just like your children are hard subjects for you to shoot, mine are the hardest for me to shoot!
These days Fable usually tries to art direct the shot and tell me what she should be doing, how she should be looking and where I should be standing etc. - I play along for a little while :) I love these images of her because they truly show her spirit! I always say that an image of your child should cause an emotional reaction in you - that's how you make decisions when it's time to order - these definitely do that for me. I'll take both of these and I want them LARGE!

Here's an example of our Designer Name Art. These can be gallery wrapped or framed and we designed these to go over this cutie's baby bed. Later on when she's out of her crib, they can be hung horizontally or vertically in another location to change up the space.
This was from her 4 month Session in our Baby Plan - isn't she adorable!!!!

Have a great Saturday!

A :)
