OK - so I constantly get hooked on these poppy songs that have absolutely NO substance.
Just found this guy tonight - love the fact that he's taken popular song and put REAL meaning to it.
Here is his site if you're interested in purchasing any of his music: http://coffeysouthernman.com/
Hope you guys have a WONDERFUL Easter weekend.
Music is therapy for me...
And when I find a favorite song, I tend to obsess about it.
It is truly the easiest way for me to worship the amazing God that we have.
So my obsession today is by a young lady named Britt Nicole - LOVE HER.
The song is called Set the World On Fire
It talks about how anything is possible with God. And how He can take your dreams and give them wings
I don't know about you guys - but I like to dream BIG. So big in fact that sometimes people think I'm a little crazy...
But I don't care, because anything is possible with Him. And He's the one that gives me these BIG DREAMS anyway.
In fact some of these BIG DREAMS are becoming reality for ARP. I'll be posting about some of them soon, but I can't let one of the really big secrets out just yet - so keep checking in if you want to know what it is.
Sometimes I feel like we all live on "auto-pilot" - this post is just a little reminder that what God has planned for us is so much more than we could ever imagine for ourselves. So pay attention to all of those dreams and ideas that pass through your head everyday. Write them down - do something about them. I actually keep a little note book with me all of the time - my "little book of big ideas..." If you're doing what God has planned for your life - then you will get the chance to bless people and be blessed by them everyday.
And here is some inspiration from Britt Nicole.
You can purchase her songs through ITunes and here is her site: http://www.brittnicole.com/
Britt Nicole : Set the world on fire
Commander Todd Steele of the elite commando unit Archimania, sent me a very interesting link.
It is the video blog for They Might be Giants. They have partnered with Disney and are producing little music videos that are geared toward the kiddies. That is why I like it I guess.
I have put a couple on my iphone for that really long line at the grocery store. When Ever has just absolutely had enough of sitting in the basket I hand her my iphone and she is content.
Here is a sample...
We hope you all had a great Holiday break!
You may have noticed the new song on our portrait site.
It is by a good friend named Jeremy Horn.
Jeremy is a talented recording artist and he is also the worship leader for Christ the Rock Church.
