MARATHON PRESS : MORE FROM NEBRASKA

When you mention CMYK, most people just think about their little desktop printer at home that happens to take cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink. BUT there's a whole world that goes along with those 4 little letters that most people don't think about and don't really know about.

So let me give you the scoop:
Most everything printed that crosses your path - magazines, marketing pieces etc. - was printed on a 4-Color Press. Have you ever thought about what that really looks like?? Well, it's pretty amazing if you ask me. When Jeff and I visited Marathon press a few weeks ago, we were taken on the TOUR :) The second I walked into the room, a flood of memories came over me. I spent many hours at printers on press-checks when I was an Art Director. I still love the smell of ink and varnish. It's nice to be reminded about the processes that take place to create pieces of art work. We all get so caught up in - how long is it going to take and when can I get it in my hands...

To all of our peeps at Marathon Press : THANK YOU for the tour. It was a wonderful reminder about all of the hands and eyes it takes to actually make things possible.

Featuring: Katie Weaver & Nick Merrit
Cameo appearances by: Allison & Jeff Rodgers

COOKIES COOKIES COOKIES!

For the last few weeks we've had Angie Panter of The Painted Cookie - make COOKIES for the Studio!!

Now let me just say that these are my weakness... It's one thing to find cookies that look this good - but believe me they taste as yummy as they look!!!!

My plan was to have them for Ordering Appointments, but they're so awesome that I'm having a very hard time not offering them to everyone that walks in the door! Sessions, Consults, Pick-ups, The UPS guy - everyone!

Angie also created CROWNS and SLIPPERS  for Ever's 2nd birthday and they were a huge hit!!!! So much better than a cake - that no one ever eats!

So if you need COOKIES - now you know who to call!
Check out Angie's blog to see samples, get contact info and pricing.

Thanks Angie!!

A :) (the one that eats most of the cookies...)

Most cookies that look this good, taste like medicine, but you are right, Angie's are fantastic! She did Rachel's birthday and Father's day for us! GO Angie!

Just thought you'd want to know - when trying to load your blog onto my iPod Touch it crashes the iPod. No big deal.

Really looking forward to streaming your recent Webinar with Viohl.

Best,

Hi, I've been a typepad user for a number of years and I love your lay out. How do you do it? The tabs especially.

Hannah Brown (09-10-2008 at 3:19pm):

Hey guys,
I finally found you through a marathon newsletter. We are photographers in the Destin, FL area and we ran into you guys at Rosemary Beach during a shoot. We tried to look for you after to give you our info, but you guys were no where to be found. Anyway. I love your stuff. You guys are really talented and it was a pleasure meeting you both.

Take care,
Hannah
