INTRODUCING : PEG-LEG JOE!!!

I love it when our clients come to a Session ready to have fun!!! Clients who have been with us for several years know that I'm pretty much up for anything. Especially if it's going to help us get the images of our dreams! So sometimes a little "give-n-take" takes place (some moms might call it bribery...) I call it something to look forward to :)

So, as we started our Session, we were already in PIRATE mode... Although we were not in PIRATE attire yet. Mr. C was wearing his linen suit with a blue shirt and tie and his adorable saddle oxfords. But to get us ready for our PIRATE adventure we were already talking about what PIRATES eat, what they do for fun, I asked if they ever liked to bake (yes, I DO ask very random crazy questions - it always keeps them guessing)

Our couch was our PIRATE ship, we were practicing what pirates sound like and most importantly we were coming up with PIRATE names!!!!!  After we were done with the dressier shots, we became PIRATES! PEG-LEG JOE did give me a name. At first it was BLACK BEARD, then it was PINK BEARD. I reminded PEG-LEG JOE that I was a girl and I really didn't want my PIRATE name to have BEARD in it... So, he paused a minute and then he shouted out " I know - WHITE NECKLACE HEAD!!!!!!

There you have it : my official PIRATE name is WHITE NECKLACE HEAD and I'm proud of it! We had so much fun and I even had my own sword. It's really hard to shoot while you're in the middle of a sword fight!!!

When PEG-LEG JOE was done, he asked his mommy when he could come back and see me again :) And that sounds like success to me - because he had FUN. Who knew you could have FUN and get your picture made at the same time? (Well, we've always know that... so come have some fun :)

ARRRRGGG!!!

A :)

As the mother of Peg Leg Joe, I can confirm that he had a fantiasic time! White Neaklace Head is the best at getting kids to open up to her and showcasing their personalities. I will always treasure these photos.

White Necklace Head! That is pretty creative and I bet Mr. C will remember it for a long time! I am a fan of pirates. Baseball Pirates, September 19 (national talk like a pirate day)... Maybe one day I can tell you and Jeff about my stint as Captain Morgan. No, really...

ZERBERT KISSES!!!

I think it's really important to find a photographer, stick with them and let your children build a relationship. Our clients that have been with us for several years understand this perfectly.

When your babies come in to see us they should feel so comfortable that constantly giving me ZERBERT KISSES during our Session is something that's completely normal!!! Seriously now, who could resist these pudgy little fingers and cute poochy lips!!!

We want our babies (your babies) to know that we LOVE them and in return - we get lots of luvin right back. So join the ARP Family so we can start stealing some of that luvin!

(this continued to happen throughout our Session - so I had to have Molly come in and shoot for a minute so we could catch this cuteness!!!)

Thanks for my  ZERBERT KISSES Mr. C!

A :)

FAVORITES OF FABLE

People always assume that I must shoot 100's of images of my girls all of the time because I'm a photographer... Honestly, I don't shoot enough! And believe it or not, just like your children are hard subjects for you to shoot, mine are the hardest for me to shoot!
These days Fable usually tries to art direct the shot and tell me what she should be doing, how she should be looking and where I should be standing etc. - I play along for a little while :) I love these images of her because they truly show her spirit! I always say that an image of your child should cause an emotional reaction in you - that's how you make decisions when it's time to order - these definitely do that for me. I'll take both of these and I want them LARGE!
