Jeff's superhero Mother's Day plan for Dads

Dads,

If you are anything like me, you wait until the very last minute to buy a Mother's Day present. Here is an easy idea for you, and one your wife would never think you would do voluntarily. Buy a gift certificate for a family session and (GASP) tell her you will be in it and not even complain ( I realize a lot of factors will go into the NON-complaining part, but the promise of trying counts).

This is like giving her two gifts in one. One is the actual gift of a session and the second and hidden benefit is that this gift actually has a long shelf life. EVERY TIME she walks by the print hanging on the wall and gets a warm and fuzzy feeling looking at her family, YOU get the credit. For instance, you just said something offhanded without thinking, and you realize your mistake and know you have at least a half hour of backpedalling just to undo that one statement. A short cut would be to just casually go stand by the print YOU gifted her and say as sincerely as possible, "I am sorry". See? I just saved you at least 26 minutes of backpedalling.

Seriously, call today and order the gift certificate, the ARPcrew will gift wrap it for you. All you have to do is show up and get it. We make it easy for you to be the Superhero.

Call before 4pm and come pick it up if you want to be able to have a tangible gift certificate to present to the mother of your children and the one who makes your life so easy.

p.s. If you buy this today, I will make you a video slideshow of your images after you place an order. You can play this anywhere (facebook, the family blog, appleTV, smart phones etc) like on your smart phone when you are in the car and say something offhand without thinking. The print trick won't work of course because that's at home, BUT the "Warm and Fuzzy" principle will still work because your smartphone is right there with the video on it. You can figure out the rest. It looks great on the larger iPad as well but I guess it really all depends on what device you have on hand at the time of the offense.

Example session, here is a rough and tough FIREMAN who never once complained about his family portrait. See how happy his wife is?

ARP BABIES

There is something about photographing newborns that we just love here at ARP. Maybe it's their tiny hands, chubby cheeks, or just their overall "newness" that brings such a breath of fresh air to the studio.

Something was definitely in the water last Spring & Summer... It has been pregnant mommy / newborn baby season lately - we've had so many new ARPfamilies come through our doors!

Here are just a few favorites from past and recent Maternity / Newborn sessions. We cannot thank these parents enough for letting us tell their stories!

I know Nora's picture is not featured here, but I was just reminded of what an AWESOME (for lack of a better word) job you did on her newborn pictures. From start to finish, everything was great! You were so thoughtful, careful and loving the entire time!

ARP : LIFESTORIES : FEATURED SESSION

Well, don't you know these monkies get mistaken for TWINS everyday!!!!
(actually - they are 2 years apart)

This Session was full of style, giggles and a cuteness overload! I love it when siblings enjoy acting silly together and as most of you know I like to act a little silly myself...

Sometimes people get too caught up in what type of background an image is going to have. Honestly, this set up is one of my favorites. WHY? Because these images focus on the relationship between these two :) I love the way they make me feel when I look at them - happy. It is obvious these guys LOVE each other.

I started ARP by saying that the only props we need to tell your story are : my camera, you and your personality!

Happy Thursday!

Great stuff, Allison (but Cheryl wants Jeff to know that he doesn't have to make me look that much younger ... just her!). We had a blast working with you yesterday and can't wait to see what you captured!

Couldn't agree more about the simplicity and the interaction here! These are great.
