SPECIAL MUSICAL GUEST THE BIRD AND THE BEE

This month we are featuring the song Carol of the Bells by the group The Bird and The Bee. The musical duo from Los Angeles, consisting of musicians Greg Kurstin ("bee") and Inara George ("bird").

From their Myspace Profile: “Greg and Inara met a few years ago. Discovered a common love of jazz standards…nerded out for a couple of hours playing every song they knew…and then wrote and recorded a record together.”

The 1^st single “Love Letter To Japan” from their upcoming album RAY GUNS ARE NOT JUST THE FUTURE is now available on iTunes.  

In April 2007 the song "Again & Again" was featured in the episode "Desire" of Grey's Anatomy. Also their song "Polite Dance Song" from Please Clap Your Hands was featured in the fifth episode of the fourth season of Grey's Anatomy.

The full album will be released on 1.27.09 (iTunes pre-order 1.13.09)

CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS!

Christmas Traditions:
We all love the traditions of Christmas. Now that we're parents we are constantly trying to fit new traditions in for our kids.
Of course one is a Christmas card - and even though we had a session for one last year - it was never produced... I guess that's what happens when you're the photographer and there are so many other cards to do! BUT we're doing our best to not let that happen this year. Last year's images have been put to good use though! They are featured on the Simply Canvas website and will be on display in their booth at ImagingUSA this year. (side note - sorry - back to the traditions.)

Here are some other traditions for the Rodgerses:
- we always make pumpkin pie ( Jeff and Fable's favorite)
- we always watch White Christmas after we put up the tree
- all of our ornaments are sentimental to us - and we add on or make more every year
- the girls always get matching Christmas pjs on Christmas Eve
- we have a big breakfast on Christmas morning
- we stay home on Christmas Day
- Clarence The Elf - has been with us this year and will become a yearly tradition as well
- Fable makes a Christmas video for the ARPblog (hope to include Ever this year)
- hot cocoa is very common occurrence this time of year as well
- lots of dancing in front of the tree
- we just received a snow village collection from my grandmother and creating the scene for that will be a huge tradition every year

Christmas Card Saturday : October 18th 2008!!!

As most of you know - custom Christmas Cards are a pretty big deal here at ARP, and we're getting ready NOW! All of our cards are one-of-a-kind custom designs. Once we design one for you, we don't let that design out again for the rest of the year. It makes it so much fun to get something exclusive!

We are currently BOOKED for sessions through the end of October! So, we opened up this one Saturday, October 18th, just for you! Allison will ONLY book 15 mini-sessions, so if you want a spot - HURRY! These 30 minute Sessions will be for custom Christmas cards and loose print orders only! (After the mini-session you will receive an online gallery for loose print and additional card orders)

CHRISTMAS SESSION DEADLINE: 

If you want ARP under your tree, then sessions must happen before Friday, October 31st.

*ALL SESSIONS MUST BE PREPAID UPON BOOKING WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF REPRODUCTIONS. IT IS ILLEGAL TO COPY OR SCAN OUR IMAGES. WE ARCHIVE ALL IMAGES THAT ARE PURCHASED WITHIN YOUR DESIGNATED TIME FRAME. ALL UNORDERED IMAGES ARE REMOVED FROM OUR SYSTEM AFTER 4 WEEKS.
