DEB DEB AGES 10 YEARS

Hey guys I want to share a quick video with you. I shot it this morning using my iPhone.

Fable and I were at the studio and Allison had just left. It was before everyone arrived for the day. I had Fable watch at the door and see if anyone pulled up. We saw Debbie pull up and I set the alarm to away, locked the door and then we hid behind the closed door.

This is the video. We love our Deb Deb!

Fable and I waited until Debbie pulled up, then we set the alarm and hid behind the door. When Debbie came in she thought that no one was there because the alarm was set.

If you can ignore the alarm buzz you will enjoy this.

madeline keeps going "fable! fable!" and laughing histerically.

If there had been an intruder he would have taken one look at me and bolted. All I have to say is....IT IS ON NOW!!

Todd (10-29-2009 at 9:07am):

madeline wanted to reenact deb deb's surprise, so i definitely had to catch that on video. enjoy the hysteria. http://vimeo.com/7321780

FLU SHOTS FOR THE ARPcrew!

Well, well, well... FLU SHOT FRIDAY happened again this year, and we decided to document it :)

One of the ARPperks of being a member of the ARPcrew (if you consider this a perk...HA) is to get flu & b12 shots every fall. We have to keep everyone well! We have Christmas deadlines to meet :) When everyone arrived Friday, they didn't realize they would be photographed during this event - but wow was it funny! It gave us all a good laugh to start our Friday out right. Madi, Hollie, Lindsay, Molly, Fable (she did get the mist), Nick, Jeff and myself had to endure the camera... Debdeb always backs out and Katie was still at school.

So here we are in all of our silliness!!!! ENJOY!

A :)

TURNER'S STORY

Turner's Story:

When we chose our tagline "let us tell your story" I guess I always thought the stories would be happy, but sometimes even the most precious stories have sad endings. We'd love to take a minute and tell you about our sweet Turner Lee. We started telling Turner's story in 2007 when he joined our BABYplan here at ARP. Shortly after his 2nd Session, Turner was diagnosised with Neuroblastoma. Turner was only 2 weeks older than Ever (our youngest child,) and we knew we wanted to do something for this family. All of the ARPcrew joined in true ARPstyle and held a fundraiser in Jan 2008 called GIGGLES + GRINS for Turner Lee. Thanks to everyone that attended we raised over $7000 that day for the Lee family!!!

Here are a few links from the event:

Well, this week the ARPcrew pulled together again for a very special event. We celebrated Turner's life Tuesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Once again we knew that what we had to offer the Lee family would help them remember the sweet memory of Turner and just how spunky he was. There were several things we created to help this sad event show a little of Turner's personality.

As a photographer I realize that what we capture for our family of clients is so important, and we were honored to make his day special.

If you ever have a family in need (or if you are a photographer with a client in need) there are some pieces that you can provide for the family to leave them with precious memories.

- Guest book incorporating images from sessions

- Bookmarks with scripture as a take-a-way item

- Notecards for friends and family to leave messages : placed in a vase once written on)

(this is really nice and enjoyable for the family later since visitation is usually such a blur)

- Multiple images to place around the room on table tops and easels.

- A slideshow incorporating images from sessions and personal images

All of this was provided by WINTERSLIGHT : the charitable division of Allison Rodgers Photography - something we recently started in memory of my father. Throughout the year ARP will hold fundraisers and take donations for a fund that provides images for families in need.

Sarah and Keith have been amazing through this with Turner, and I can't imagine how heavy their hearts are right now. We are so thankful that they allowed us to do this for them, and we hope they realize what a HUGE impact Turner made on all of us here at ARP.

Even though this is such an earthly loss, it truly is a heavenly gain.

Here is Turner's caringbridge site if you would like to leave a message for Sarah and Keith.

You guys are: amazing. God bless you... all of you for giving back to these families. My prayers are with the Lee family.

marci lambert (10-23-2009 at 8:19pm):

allison, not only are the individual so beautiful, but the pieces you made from them are breathtaking. so glad that you came into each other's lives...

ARP (10-24-2009 at 9:48am):

Marci Andrea,

You guys are so sweet. I think its so important for us as photographers to remember all of the resources we have at our finger tips! So many of the pieces we provide for our clients everyday can be used for special moments like this. The Lee family has blessed ARP so much just by allowing us to do this for them.

Allison, that's so funny! I didn't realize that was her costume she was playing with today. I thought it was a doll with red hair. Too cute! BTW, loving my photos!!! Thanks again!

ARP (10-22-2009 at 11:27pm):
